Now that I am finished with grad school, it's time to take a break/celebrate by traveling to Europe! In just 4 days I will be flying to Amsterdam to meet up with a friend and 4 days after that, I will take the train and meet my parents in Paris. After spending some time in the City of Light, we will continue our journey by renting a car and driving through Switzerland, staying in Geneva and then in a city just outside of Zurich called Morschach which sits on a moraine just above the famous Lake of Lucerne. To wrap up the trip, my mom and I will be flying to Ireland to create an adventure of our own. We plan to rent a car and drive through the country's beautiful rolling green hills. Our route will take us to Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Killarney, and finally Shannon where we will depart for the States.
The Ireland portion of this Europe trip is the one I'm most looking forward to. I have spent days upon days researching and creating a route that will be best for us - making sure to hit all the major landmarks and scenic drives. The map below shows our planned route.
Time to start packing!!
